VIDEO: Thich Nhat Hanh on Compassion, The Beginner's Mind, Martin Luther King & Listening

Compassionate Deep Listening:

The kind of listening that can relieve suffering from the other person. To listen with only the purpose to empty his/her heart. To remember you are listening to help their heart the things that may be said with bitterness or resentfulness in the perception you can have greater compassion by just being present and listening... deep listening.

The purge can be allowed so that the release can occur. You can return at another time with response. Giving the gift of that pace and time is a deeper healing offered to who may be speaking, that your are listening to. The intention to heal by letting another speak. So much more can be learned about even yourself through this process.
